about
A technological mason or a magic-user trained in the black magic of programming (whichever you prefer). During my free time I build weird worlds, construct dark dungeons, roll the bones, or sing a tune or two.
Vyrhex is my project where I dump my thoughts and current on-goings related to the realms of tabletop role-playing games. My preferred style of game is that most well-defined as Old School. The community surrounding this style of play has dubbed themselves the Old School Renaissance/Revival (OSR) if you want to join in on the fun. If you are unfamiliar, it is a revitalization of the "Old School" way of playing tabletop rpgs. If you are interested in learning more about it, I urge you to seek out Matt Finch's A Quick Primer of Old School Gaming.
My primary game is OD&D (1974), specifically the 3 "Little Brown Books" (LBB). I also use my own homebrew rules book "Lands of Sigg" to fill in the gaps when necessary.
The games I run plunge players into a world of antiquated myth and cerebration. The cosmic wheel is ever-churning, unearthing new horrors to belch upon the land. The faint of heart will not be spared, problems will only be solved by the detail-oriented and clever player.
"you have died. your old soul drifts away into the darkness forever... But alas! A new soul reveals itself to you, hungry for blood and coin."
