realms of distant lands
To the North, South, East, and West blow the great four winds. Each comes from the stars, beyond the edges of the world. Beyond the reach of the Wheel is the unknown cosmos of eternity. Though vast, it is well known to all there are realms outside the confines of the Wheel of Sigg. The stars are fondly looked upon as a place containing endless possible realms. Below are some of the documented realms that are beyond the scope of the Wheel.
Sheol - The underworld. Only the dead have access. It is only known that a few heroes have returned from Sheol without being tainted forever by its effects.
Hyperborea - The land beyond the north wind. Legend tells of sailors brave enough to sail off the northern edge of the world returning with stories of this mythical land.
Hel - The firey realm of the demons. Lavaflows instead of rivers and volcanoes replace snow-capped mountains. Air erupts from the ground hot enough to melt copper. Counterintuitively it is the center of Hel is so cold that even time freezes.
Eternal Asha - The land of the Eternal Divine beyond the firmament. Unreachable by mortals. None have been said to have ascended and returned. Entering this realm is by definition ascending to godhood.
Cosmos - The vast space between Eternal Asha and the Wheel. Many creatures, nations, worlds, and gods exist in Cosmos. Ancient legends even tell of men that made journeys into the inky black void and returned touched in the head.
