rat-men of the breathless gutter
A race for patron players. This class is designed for OD&D 3LBB.
Stinking disease sponges, rat-men are extremely intelligent sewer-dwellers who call the Breathless Gutter their home. They are man-sized and assume the form of a rat human hybrid although they are able to take on the shape of a normal man. They are excellent swimmers and swim as fast as they are able to run while in their rat form. Rat-men are allied with all rats and may communicate with them. It is rumored that being bitten by one of these creatures will turn its victim into one of the same type.

⇦ back to all posts"Miles of uncharted tunnels snake through the bowels of Tzo'ar. The smell of typhoid and dysentery burn the nostrils. Tiny cries in the darkness signal to each other, beady vermin eyes reflecting in torchlight. The people of the slums say that the rats always tell what they hear to the rat spirits who take the form of men and lure unsuspecting victims into traps that feed their plague-bearing children." -- Excerpts from 'Secrets of the Sunken City', in the Scripta Rota.
