iksus, god of tyranny and destruction

God of tyranny, destruction, and swarms of biting insects, Iksus is normally depicted as an ant-like demon. Iksus' followers spread their belief through control, and violence, usually attempting to gain positions of political power in order to promote war and cruelty to their subjects and foreigners alike.

Those who follow Iksus usually develop aggressive personality quirks and characteristics indicating their servitude. The spells that Magic-Users and Clerics have available to them as followers of Iksus usually manifest the destructive elements of the god.

If one pledges themselves to Iksus, they must roll on the personality quirks table:

1d6 Quirk
1 Angry Drunkard. Must drink alchohol when found.
2 Vengeful. Must take vengence on the smallest transgressions.
3 Wastrel. You must spend down to 500gp at the end of every session. All leftovers will be spent on extravagance and waste.
4 Hierarchical. Grovel at the feet of your superiors, but abuse your subordinates.
5 Malicious. You must punish those weaker than you through violence.
6 Subvertive. Incapable of following direct orders. Must always have the last word.

  • Level 3: Blessing of Iksus

Blessing of Iksus

Duration: 6 turns

Range: The caster or creature touched

The target of the spell sprouts vienous, transparent, wings similar to that of a dragonfly allowing them to jump their entire movement speed in one leap as well as slowing falling speed to prevent fall damage.

Chaos Bolt

Duration: Instant

Range: 100ft

A crackling green bolt of wicked energy erupts in a 20ft sphere. All creatures in the sphere take 1d4 damage and become enraged immediately making melee attacks against the nearest, randomly selected, creature. A successful save versus spells indicates half damage and immunity from becoming enraged.

Chaos Crown

Duration: 3 rounds

Range: The caster or creature touched

The target of the spell is crowned with a swarming buzzing halo of biting, flying, insects. The target must save versus spells or become enraged for the duration. Using their action to make an attack against the nearest, randomly selected, creature.

Grovel

Duration: 1d10 days

Range: The caster or creature touched

The target of the spell's morale is reduced by 1d6 for the duration. A successful save vs spells reduces the effect by half.

Insect Swarm

Duration: 1 round

Range: 30ft

The caster conjures a cloud of flying, biting, insects. The swarm is controlled by the caster for the duration of the spell and dissappates when the spell ends. The swarm may occupy the same space as another creature. The swarm is unable to take damage except from fire and magic.

Waste

Duration: 1d6 days

Range: The caster or creature touched

The target of the spell's STR is reduced by 1d4 and the caster's STR is increased by the result for the duration of the spell. A successful save vs spells will reduce the effect by half. If the target or caster dies while still under the effects of the spell, the spell immediately ends returning all lost STR to the original owner and reducing the STR of the caster back equally.
